Schweizerische Schifffahrtsgesellschaft Untersee und Rhein AG (URh) is a public limited company based in Schaffhausen. URh began operations in 1865, making it the oldest shipping company in Switzerland.

Challenges

Until now, it has been difficult for a shipping company to know its own customers personally. Normally, a ticket is purchased anonymously and it is not possible to identify the customer. This means that communication is almost exclusively possible via traditional outbound channels, which is very costly and slow.

URh has set itself the goal of knowing and understanding its customers better and creating a relevant database that can be addressed directly via email or social media. Essentially, the measures should be able to be implemented quickly and flexibly by the company's own employees without any programming knowledge.


Solutions

A new website was built on HubSpot CMS Hub as the central marketing hub, which is linked to a blog, landing pages and the main social media channels.

The eGuma web shop feeds all sales back into the HubSpot CRM, which also allows campaigns to be analysed in terms of value.
