Challenges

In the Association for Quality Assurance in Surgery (AQC), surgical clinics compile statistics on admissions and procedures and compare them with each other for quality assurance purposes. Adjumed Services AG is the office of the AQC and provides the web application Adjumed.net. In order to facilitate data collection, a solution was sought that would supplement the existing solution for data collection (paper collection and input via hospital systems) with the easily accessible and easy to set up Internet collection.

Solutions

Chili has developed a web-based, multilingual data collection tool that allows data to be entered or imported directly via the Internet at the clinic.

It is based on a SQL Server database and uses .Net Framework and AJAX technology (ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit). Thanks to these, data can be entered quickly and clearly. The data is also checked for completeness and plausibility as it is entered. The security standard is very high; thanks to combined security functions, sensitive medical data is completely protected against unauthorised access.
